Welcomed General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, To Lam, back to Singapore. Our strong and trusted partnership is growing. I am confident we can create even more opportunities for our peoples in the years ahead.
Our discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and translating our agreements into concrete outcomes in practical areas like agri-trade, renewable energy, science and technology, and human capital development.
Both our countries depend on open trade and a rules-based international order, and share a common interest in a strong and united ASEAN. We will make full use of our respective ASEAN and APEC Chairmanships next year to advance regional cooperation and integration.
