During the first-ever visit of a Croatian Foreign Minister to Vietnam, Gordan Grlić Radman met with Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng in Hanoi.
Croatia sees Vietnam as an important partner in ASEAN and one of the EU’s key partners in Southeast Asia — with Vietnam representing a large, dynamic and fast-growing market.
Croatia and Vietnam confirmed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in the defence industry as one of the important areas of future partnership.
Both sides also expressed readiness to further strengthen trade, investment, transport links and joint projects, while deepening cooperation in culture, science, tourism and sports.
This visit also reflects the active role of Croatian diplomacy and the Vlada RH in opening doors for Croatian companies in Asia, from Central Asia and the Middle East to Southeast Asia.
