Telephone Contact Between the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran
In this telephone conversation, the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in bilateral relations as well as important regional issues.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assessed the process of bilateral cooperation as positive and progressing, expressing satisfaction over the increase in the level of trade exchanges between the two countries and the expansion of cooperation in other areas.
The Honorable Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi considered the diplomacy-based approach by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America as a constructive step and emphasized the importance of resolving issues through dialogue and negotiation.
In response, Mr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi also described the upward trend in cooperation and the progress achieved in bilateral relations as commendable and shared his views on further developing these relations with the Afghan side.
Additionally, during this contact, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran informed his Afghan counterpart of the latest status of negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.
