The Lebanese government’s approval of the agreement on the transfer of Syrian prisoners constitutes the beginning and the first step in the path of purifying relations between Lebanon and Syria. We will continue to cooperate together on all remaining files, including the Lebanese missing persons, the demarcation of land and maritime borders, the pursuit of the safe return of our displaced brothers, and the review of bilateral agreements in a manner that serves the interests and sovereignty of our two brotherly countries.
