Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan held a video call with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
In this video call, the two sides discussed matters of mutual bilateral interest, the development of regional cooperation, and future plans between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan for the upcoming year in the Gregorian calendar.
They engaged in discussions and exchanged views.
The Foreign Minister of the country, while positively assessing the progress in relations between the two countries, stated that with the further strengthening of meaningful relations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, we are now witnessing the practical start of the TAPI project route in Herat, railway line projects, and TAPI
They are on the verge of adaptation, and relations between the two sides are developing.
Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, while recalling the historical and friendly relations between the two countries, expressed satisfaction with the expansion of relations at various levels between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and emphasized the need for coordinated work.
In the context of aligning joint economic projects, conducting visits by officials of the two countries, and holding upcoming programs, they emphasized.
At the end, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries considered the strengthening of cooperation and regional dialogues, especially on the Afghanistan and Central Asian countries track, to be important and valuable.
