The US president has been speaking to reporters at a Halloween party in Florida.
– He said Iran wants to “make a deal” and that negotiations are “going fine”.
– “But they are not very reliable,” he said of the Iranians. “They make a deal, and then they back out,” he claimed. “They wanna make a deal, and we will see if they make a deal.”
– When asked about a timeframe for the Qatari-mediated talks, Trump said, “We are not in that much of a hurry”, claiming once again that the US has destroyed Iran’s navy, air force, and manufacturing capabilities.
– He again threatened to hit Iran’s Pick Axe Mountain, which the US claims hosts a nuclear site, saying, “We can deal with the remaining one or two [nuclear] sites in Iran within 10 minutes.”
– When asked if he would order renewed strikes on Iran, he described the question as “stupid” and said: “Let’s say I did, would I tell you? I can’t tell you.”
