Major General Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai says recent conflicts have demonstrated the importance of integrating military capabilities and adapting quickly to new threats.
– “The character of warfare is evolving rapidly,” he said at the Global Security Forum in Doha, pointing to unmanned systems and cyber- and space capabilities as challenges facing armed forces.
– “The next generation of defence partnership must move beyond cooperation between nations to the creation of shared capability,” he said, stressing that military partnerships should extend beyond joint exercises and compatible equipment to include information sharing, operational planning and mutual trust.
