Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has met Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Doha with talks focusing on the reduction of Gulf tensions.
– “During the meeting, they reviewed developments in the region and efforts aimed at de-escalation in a manner that enhances regional and international security and stability,” a statement said.
– Earlier, Momeni said he held constructive discussions with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
