Switzerland has condemned pogroms by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, saying Israel “must protect Palestinian civilians and bring those responsible to justice”.
– In a post on X, the Swiss Foreign Ministry condemned a recent attack on the Palestinian village of Jalud by about 100 settlers.
– During the raid, settlers set ablaze two homes belonging to the Tubasi family, hours after the family tried to return to their property following an Israeli court decision that ended nearly two months of displacement.
– “The unprecedented level of settler violence cannot be tolerated,” the statement read.
