Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned what he called “violent riots” overnight in the northern occupied West Bank, saying security forces were harmed while trying to maintain order in a post on X.
– Netahyahu said “a handful of rioters” does not represent what he called the “law-abiding settler community,” adding that they “do them a grave injustice” and hinder security forces in carrying out their mission.
– He called on law enforcement authorities to “exhaust the full severity of the law against the rioters”.
