EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has discussed diplomatic prospects and maritime security with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, pointing out the need to ensure free navigation.
– In a post on X, Kallas said that “navigation must be free and unimpeded, both in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.”
– Kallas also said that she raised “domestic repression inside Iran, including the sharp rise in executions and death sentences”.
