Kosovo has signed a formal agreement to join a UN-mandated International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, the US-backed “Board of Peace” announced.
– “At a ceremony in Pristina today, representatives of the Republic of Kosovo, the Board of Peace & the International Stabilization Force signed the Participating Country Agreement for the inclusion of Kosovo in the ISF,” the board said in a post.
– The accord, signed by Kosovo Security Force Commander Lieutenant-General Bashkim Jashari and ISF Commander US Major-General Jasper Jeffers, formally establishes the Balkan nation’s operational involvement in the contingent.
– The ISF is multinational security mission created to maintain stability, manage demilitarization, and oversee security in post-conflict Gaza.
– Kosovo joins a coalition of confirmed troop contributors that includes Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Albania, and Uganda.
