Joseph Aoun has accused Israel of a “persistent pattern” of targeting civilian sites following its latest strikes on southern Lebanon.
– In a statement, Aoun said Israel’s attacks are a “dangerous escalation” that go “beyond the alleged military targets to purely civilian administrations and health centres”.
– He cited the levelling of Ghandour Hospital and “severe” damage to the Ministry of Finance in Nabatieh governorate.
– Aoun called on the US to take “urgent action to stop these violations and hold their perpetrators accountable”.
